Gloaming Pro isn’t showing as active
Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used to subscribe. In Gloaming, open Settings, tap Plan under Gloaming Pro, then tap Restore Purchases.
If Gloaming Pro still isn’t active, check that the subscription is listed in your Apple Account subscriptions, described below.
Managing or cancelling your subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In Gloaming, open Settings and tap Manage Subscription under Gloaming Pro. You can also open the Settings app, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
Gloaming Pro renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If your plan began with a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Gloaming Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Camera access
Gloaming needs the camera to take photographs and record Cinema. If you declined access, open the Settings app, find Gloaming in the list of apps and turn on Camera. The permission rows in Gloaming’s Settings open this page for you.
Microphone and Cinema
Cinema clips are recorded with sound, so Gloaming asks for the microphone for Cinema recording. If you declined, turn on Microphone on Gloaming’s page in the Settings app. The microphone is used only while Cinema is recording.
Save Location
Save Location is off by default. Turn it on in Gloaming’s Settings to add your location to new photographs and Cinema clips; you’ll be asked to allow Location. If you declined before, Gloaming offers to open the Settings app, where you can allow it.
Location is stored in each item and stays with it when you save or share it.
Saving to Photos
Photographs and clips are kept in the Gloaming Library until you save them. To save, open the Library, select items and tap Save to Photos, or tap Save to Photos while viewing a single item. The first time, you’ll be asked to allow access to Photos. Items that are already saved show Saved to Photos.
Before you delete Gloaming
The Gloaming Library is stored only inside the app. Deleting Gloaming permanently deletes every photograph and clip you haven’t saved to Photos, and we can’t recover them. Before deleting the app, open the Library and save anything you want to keep.
Offloading Gloaming in the Settings app removes the app but keeps its data.
Compatibility
Device and system requirements are listed on Gloaming’s App Store page.
